May was another amazing month of music, friends, good times, and soulful vibrations.
We had a wonderful line up of guest DJ's, Bands, and musicians. Roger Mas and Kool Kyle from El Superritmo, Black Mahal, DJ Hiromi, DJ DRM, and Fausto Sousa, plus musicians, singers and drummers, Qique, Matute, Diamond, Sergio, Fresh is Life, Billy Magic, Iggy Mon, Baba Duru.
Afrolicious keeps taking this soulful energy from the incredible crowds each week and continues to bring the good vibes. This Thursday night we feature some African blues, rock, reggae featuring the nephew of Ali Farka Toure and his band Dusu Mali Band all the way from Portland Oregon.
This Saturday we bring the Afrolicious sound back to Public Works for a marathon 4 plus hour set of Afrolicious, plus guests DJ's Whooligan, and Wonway. Gonna be a scorcher as we hit that Function One sound system hard and feature the high energy of our live drummers.
Also the Wednesday night weekly live music event at the Boom Boom Room has been a blast and a great chance to experiment with the live band set up more. If you have yet to make it we highly recommend giving it a chance some Wednesday night.
