Welcome back! ESL showcase, 4 year anniversary

Yes yes ya'll! It has been a minute since we updated here. Let's just say we have been having a damn good time of it.

I would like to do a quick re-cap since we last joined you. Since our last post with the mighty Kush Arora, we have featured such amazing DJ's and Bands as DJ Greg Caz (NYC, BRazilian Beats Brooklyn) AfroMassive (Humboltd, Oakland, Albino!) DJ Honeyknuckles (SF, Sanguin Soul) DJ DR. Musco, Makru, and the Afrofunk Experience.
Oz and Pleasure have had the pleasure of traveling to Austin, from which Oz just got back after a string of gigs. Pleasure came back early to hold down the new Wednesday night Pleasuresessions at the Boom Boom Room which has been going really great and features members of Afrolicious, Solomon Burke, Afrofunk Experience, Bassment, and Locura.

This week at Afrolicious we feature residents night, in which Pleasure and Ozgood will take you on a sonic journey around the world. As there is no guest band or DJ the fellas will be in control for over 4 hours of heavy funky vibrations coming at you through loud speakers in the always inviting Elbo Room. As we approach our 4th year anniversary of getting to do this every week with you all we are feeling very blessed. We also see this party growing and developing each week, and getting better all the time. AMAZING!!! WE still want to be better at documenting this amazing event every week and need some help from our friends. For those with photos and videos, please reach out and let us know you have them. For those interested in helping with this we have free passes for you to our events and other goodies!

Finally we are super excited to return to Public Works on April 1st for the first of a regular series brought to you by ESL Music, the label of Thievery Corporation. This promises to be a great night featuring Rob Garza (Thievery, DJ Set) Ancient Astronauts, Afrolicious (with the live drums) J.Boogie all in the main room. In the Odd Job room will be the Sunset party crew feat. DJ's Solar, Galen, & J-Bird . If you have ever been to one of their out door parties in the summer you know these cats make a great time. Very excited about this!!
