Funk Aid for Africa Release @ Afrolicious

*Last week was off the hook @ the party (pics and recordings to come...), thanks to everyone who came out to make it so hot!!! The special guests tore it up and the vibes of the crowd were so tasty :-)

*This week we are very honored to be celebrating the release of a very special mix CD 'Funk Aid For Africa' mixed and compiled by our friend DJ Oba from NY working with Dubspot and Nextaid, two amazing organizations you should check out!'Funk Aid for Africa' features some of today's funkiest bands and flows together in a seamless mix that keeps the listener drawn in all along the way, with heavy hitters like J.Boogie, Ocote Soul Sounds, Nappy G., Chico Mann, Pimps of Joytime, as well a Pleasuremaker cut in there the proceeds will benefit orphaned children in Africa who have lost parents due to Aids. This is a great opportunity to turn some tragic into something positive.

*Gonna be another hot week @ Elbo Room w- guests J.Boogie, DJ Obah, Happy Mayfield (the Park) and as always Pleasuremaker, Señor Oz w- B.Lee and J.ELrod on drumz!

Also wanted to feature a doooooope video from the South African townships where generations of segregation and racism have disenfranchised the native black South Africans. DJ Mujava made this track a couple years ago and it has been blowing it up by various DJ's and soundsystem's around the world.
